Radar EV Pickup Records 155% Growth in the Philippine Market

UAAGI Auto Group, the official distributor of Radar EV Pickup in the Philippines, announced a strong sales performance for the Radar RD6 (known globally as the Riddara RD6), recording 112 units sold in June 2026, more than doubling its May 2026 sales of 44 units. This figure highlights a growing segment of the market opting for electric mobility in the pickup truck category, traditionally dominated by internal combustion engines.

The Radar RD6 is disrupting the status quo with a compelling blend of power, technology, and aggressive pricing. With an unbeatably attainable starting price of just ₱1,438,000 for the RD6 Econ 2WD, the Radar EV Pickup not only undercuts many mid-to-high-tier diesel variants but also offers a suite of advanced features and capabilities that traditional trucks simply cannot match.

    Utilitarian Performance Meets Unibody Comfort

The Radar RD6 is built on a dedicated electric unibody platform, a departure from the body-on-frame construction typically found in the mid-size pickup segment. This architecture, paired with an independent multi-link rear suspension, is designed to provide ride characteristics more akin to a passenger vehicle while maintaining utility.

But comfort does not come at the expense of capability. The dual-motor 4WD variant boasts a staggering 381 horsepower and 485 Nm of torque, rocketing from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. This performance easily rivals, and in some cases surpasses, the output of performance-oriented diesel trucks, but with the instant torque delivery that only an EV can provide.

    The Ultimate Mobile Power Station

One of the most defining features of the Radar RD6 is its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. Equipped with outlets in the cabin and the cargo bed, the truck can discharge up to 3.5 kW of power, effectively turning it into a mobile power bank. Whether it is powering heavy-duty tools on a remote job site, running appliances during a camping trip, or providing emergency backup power during an outage, the RD6 offers a level of utility that diesel trucks cannot replicate.

With battery options up to 73 kWh, the RD6 delivers a NEDC-equivalent range of up to 443 kilometers on a single charge. For those seeking a bridge between traditional fueling and electric driving, the RD6 EM-P 4WD plug-in hybrid variant offers more than 1,000 kilometers of combined EV and hybrid range, completely eliminating range anxiety while maintaining exceptional fuel economy.

Lower Operating Costs. Greater Long-Term Value.

Beyond its performance, the Radar RD6 offers a compelling ownership proposition through significantly lower operating costs. The RD6 ECON costs as little as Php 2.64 per kilometer to operate and has an estimated preventive maintenance cost of only Php 8 per day, allowing owners to save up to 84% savings for three years compared to a diesel pickup.

Meanwhile, the RD6 EM-P Elite 4WD delivers the flexibility of hybrid driving while keeping operating expenses remarkably low at approximately Php 3.86 per kilometer, with an estimated maintenance cost of just Php 29 per day. Owners can expect to save at least 76% over a comparable diesel-powered pickup.

With a payload capacity of up to one ton for the RD6 ECON, up to 800 kg for the RD6 EM-P Elite 4WD, and a wading depth of 815 mm, the Radar RD6 is engineered for the diverse demands of Philippine roads and industries. More than a lifestyle vehicle, it is a capable workhorse that combines utility, advanced electrified technology, lower ownership costs, and everyday comfort. It’s setting a new benchmark for the next generation of pickup trucks.

    Nationwide Support and Expansion

As UAAGI Auto Group continues to expand its dealership network and charging infrastructure, the momentum behind the Radar EV Pickup is expected to continue. Backed by 20-year established expertise, the distinguished Filipino multi-brand distributor is dedicated to driving the future of Philippine mobility, as it continues to expand the RADAR network’s nationwide sales and service footprint.

Furthermore, the RADAR RD6 comes with a comprehensive 5-year or 150,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty and an 8-year or 200,000 km high-voltage battery warranty. This long-term assurance is supported by UAAGI Auto Group’s extensive nationwide dealer network and reliable aftersales support, ensuring peace of mind for both retail and fleet customers across the country.

The RD6 is now available for viewing and reservations at authorized dealerships nationwide. For details on availability and to schedule a test drive, please visit our official website radarauto.ph or contact the RADAR Official hotline at +639177772327.

UAAGI on the Move: Leg 2
