UK Minister for Trade Anas Sarwar stopped by Jollibee’s BGC Triangle Drive store in Taguig City during his ministerial visit to the Philippines.
Jollibee Group Chairman and Founder, Dr. Tony Tan Caktiong, and Jollibee Group Global Chief Business Support Officer, William Tan Untiong, warmly welcomed Minister Sarwar and British Ambassador to the Philippines Sarah Hulton, OBE.
Marking the occasion, Minister Sarwar and Ambassador Hulton were given a tour of the store, where they met some of the crew and explored the menu, which included Jollibee’s signature offerings — including Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, Champ Burger, Chicken Nuggets, and Peach Mango Pie — giving the British dignitaries a peek at the homegrown brand’s most beloved favorites.
Minister Sarwar also spent time with the Jollibee team during his visit to the BGC Triangle Drive store, taking selfies, chatting with customers and crew, and even receiving his own Jollibee Funko Pop figure in a Barong Tagalog.
Minister Sarwar’s visit marks the first ministerial visit by a UK Trade Minister to the Philippines in nine years, as the United Kingdom and the Philippines continue to strengthen their bilateral engagement.
