Aurora Gaming Philippines Shocks the World and Reigns Supreme at M7

The roar of the crowd, the tears on stage, the players collapsing into one another in disbelief. Aurora Gaming Philippines did not just win the M7 World Championship. They carved their names into history with heart, grit, and a story that felt written for legends.

As the first team to secure a Grand Finals slot, Aurora entered the final stretch with everything on the line. The pressure was immense. Another world title for the Philippines was at stake. The chance to defend regional dominance loomed large. It was go big or go home, not only for Aurora but for an entire nation that has carried the M Series crown since M2.

Even before stepping onto the final stage, the support system behind them was already shining. Aurora Gaming PH Country Manager Rada Scars reposted Infinix’s congratulatory message ahead of the Grand Finals, a moment that revealed just how much belief surrounded the team.

“Without the support of Infinix, we wouldn’t be able to be at our best performance yet. Thank you Infinix Mobile for making things possible for us. We’ll do our best on Sunday!”

Those words now read like prophecy.

Earlier this year, Infinix reaffirmed its partnership with Aurora Gaming Philippines, continuing a collaboration that began late 2024 where Infinix became the team’s official gaming phone partner. Aurora exited early in M6. Today, Aurora stands as the champion of M7. Through every high and low, Infinix stayed with the team believing in their journey and trusting that they would rise again. Because Infinix knows that greatness isn’t built overnight. It’s shaped through time, discipline, and relentless grind. That’s why the high-performance devices of Infinix are built to last and to power long hours of gameplay for players who chase excellence every single day, just like Aurora.

A Rivalry That Defined a Region

Aurora’s championship run reached its climax in the Grand Finals against Indonesia’s representative, Alter Ego, where they delivered a dominant 4-0 sweep, a matchup that still carried the weight of years of rivalry between two powerhouse regions. Philippines versus Indonesia is more than a clash of teams. It is history, pride, and legacy colliding every time they meet.

Since M2, Philippine squads have held the M Series crown, setting a standard that felt impossible to ignore. To let that streak end would have been heartbreaking for fans back home. Aurora understood what was at stake. Every rotation, every team fight, every clutch moment carried the pressure of an entire scene watching.

When the final blow landed and Aurora emerged victorious, it was not just a championship secured. It was a statement that the Philippines remains the global benchmark of Mobile Legends. For Aurora, a team forged through setbacks and seasons of rebuilding, the victory stood as undeniable proof that every sacrifice, every long night, and every moment of doubt had finally paid off.

Redemption, Patience, and Unfinished Business Fulfilled

Behind the trophy were stories that cut deeper than statistics.

Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap stood on the world stage once again, finally smiling without restraint. Years had passed since his last major triumph in MPL PH Season 11. He had endured consecutive Grand Finals losses and painful near misses. The venue itself added another layer of drama, the same place where he fell to ECHO during M4. This time, fate flipped the script. The redemption arc was complete.

Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo carried the weight of countless Finals appearances across MPL PH and world tournaments without ever tasting a championship. Season after season, he came close. At M7, perseverance finally met destiny, and in the middle of the celebration, he could barely hold back his emotions as he shouted, “I’m a champion now!”

Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, often flying under the radar, reminded everyone why he belonged among the elite. His last international victory dated back to June 2022 alongside Light, and his early exit in M6 haunted him. At M7, the underrated jungler silenced doubts with calm decision making and fearless engages.

Jan Dominic “Domengkite” Del Delmundo, the youngest member of the lineup, perhaps faced the harshest spotlight. Many questioned whether he was ready to stand beside veterans. Losses followed him early in his career and criticism came fast. But instead of breaking, he absorbed every doubt and turned it into fuel.

“There have been so many doubters ever since I started playing because we always lose, and I’m always the one they’re blaming but I take this to my advantage and turn it into a lesson that I can always learn from. It also motivated me to continue to become better and it inspired me to be at my best. And it made this victory sweet as we’re finally champions.”

Now an M7 champion, Domengkite has rewritten his narrative from scapegoat to symbol of growth.

And then there was Light, Dylan Aaron “Light” Poblete Catipon.

Once benched in MPL Indonesia Season 15, he rebuilt himself from the ground up, crossed regions, and exploded onto the Philippine scene. He claimed the MPL PH Season 16 Regular Season MVP and capped his resurgence with the ultimate honor as Finals MVP at M7. From sidelined to shining brightest on the biggest stage of all, Light’s journey was nothing short of cinematic.

Edward summed up the miracle run with raw emotion.

“We’re just over the moon because nobody expected us to be here as champions, but we pulled it off. And I’m just overjoyed since this is my second world title and nobody really expected any of it.”

For a veteran who had waited years to lift another global trophy, the moment felt surreal.

Aurora’s triumph came as a surprise to many, but inside the organization, it was the result of endless scrims, quiet resilience, and unwavering belief. Each player, sixth man Justine “Calad” Limbo, head coach Aniel “Coach Master The Basics” Jiandani, strategic coach Dexter Louise “Coach Dex Star” Alaba, the management team, and their partners stood behind a vision built on patience and hard work. When the confetti fell, there was no arrogance on stage, only gratitude, tears, and the relief of knowing the climb had been worth it.

    A Partnership That Powered Champions

Infinix’s presence throughout Aurora’s journey was more than branding. It was confidence, stability, and belief when the road felt uncertain. From MPL to the world championship stage, the brand stood with the team through rebuilds, heartbreak, and finally glory.

Aurora Gaming Philippines did not win M7 alone. They did it with a community behind them and a partner that never stopped believing.

Together, Aurora and Infinix proved that champions are not just born in victory. They are forged in trust, perseverance, and the courage to rise when the world is watching.

And now, the world is watching them.
