The Philippines’ leading logistics and delivery service provider, J&T Express, was recently recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) – Division of Lapu-Lapu City during the Annual Stakeholders’ Summit for its commitment to quality education and help to shape the future of Filipino youth.
This recognition was given last December 4 at the Crown Regency Hotel and Suites in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, months after the company took part in DepEd’s kick-off program of Brigada Eskwela. More than 100 students from Poo Elementary School, located on Olango Island, received school supplies and materials in July to improve the school facilities in time for the reopening of classes.
As part of its continued initiative to give back to local communities in need, J&T Express extends its heartfelt congratulations to its dedicated employees and partners for their exceptional support beyond education. This initiative reflects and emphasizes quality education to young people, by delivering action and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
“We are truly grateful to receive this recognition from DepEd. Partaking in DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela is one of our ways to embody our commitment to supporting the programs of our local and national government agencies. At J&T Express, we believe in strengthening our role, not only in serving our customers but also in creating better opportunities for students and local communities,” said Zoe Chi, Vice President of J&T Express Philippines.
J&T Express ensures that it continues to embody the Bayanihan spirit through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative through J&T Cares, expressing utmost care to Filipinos beyond deliveries—connecting and helping all the communities it serves and covers through these efforts.
